'Un cappuccino, s'il vous plait' by K.J.S.Chatrath

With mercury going down to 2.1 degrees celsius in my town (never mind the chappies yelling 'Global Warming...Global Warming' to frighten the developing countries to slow down their progress), a cup of cappuccino is what the doctor recommends. And timing it with the Hon'ble French President's short visit to Chandigarh yesterday, I have dug out this photo taken in Marseilles, France in 2014.

And yes, both the cappuccino and the photo were taken by me!

Un cappuccino, s'il vous plait.

'Did le Corbusier 'copy' the 'Fatima's hand' for Chandigarh's 'Open hand symbol'?- by K.J.S.Chatrath

Photo of tiles showing 'Fatima's hand taken by me in Morroco in 2013

Would you like to read my article 'Did Le Corbusier copy 'Fatima's hand' for Chandigarh's symbol?' The hand of Fatima, also know as Hamsa, is an amulet with the format of a hand. It is made to make  people feel protected. http://anaap-shnaap.blogspot.in/2015/04/did-le-corbusier-copy-fatimas-hand-for.html

'Photos of Vodafone ads in Paris' by K.J.S.Chatrath

One of my favourite spots in Paris is the Centre Pompidou (http://en.parisinfo.com/paris-museum-monument/71538/Centre-Pompidou) . Whenever I go to Paris I make it a point to take a quick round of the ground around the Centre.

Last time that I was there in 2014, I noticed some ads of Vodafone just a hundred meters or so from the Centre.  I found those to be pleasantly different.

Though I did not consciously plan it, I find the the shadow of tree on the glass pane in these photos quite interesting.

Take a look:
